Capture the books you talk about, with an Omi pendant
If you wear an Omi pendant, ReadingRate can listen for books in your everyday conversation. Mention a title to a friend and it's recorded as a book you talked about; read a passage aloud and it's saved as a quote against the right book. On iOS these appear under Settings as "Books You Talked About", where you can add any of them to your library in a tap.

Most of what a reader says about books is said out loud and lost. Someone recommends a novel over dinner, you mean to write it down, and by the next morning you have the feeling of a recommendation without the title.
Only conversations that look book-related are examined at all — a cheap filter runs before any model does — and a book discussed properly is recorded differently from one mentioned in passing.
Quotes captured this way go through the same correction path as quotes you dictate in the app, so proper nouns and page numbers come out right.
What it can't do
- It needs an Omi pendant. This is not a phone feature.
- It is membership-only, deliberately: a record of books you mentioned is worth something next to a library and nothing without one.
- Turning off AI quote saving in your privacy settings stops quotes being written, but book mentions are still counted.
- The surface for reviewing what it captured is in the iOS app; there is no web equivalent yet.

- Yes. Link an Omi account and ReadingRate records the books that come up in your conversations, plus any passage you read aloud, and shows them in the iOS app for you to add to your library.
- Does it listen to everything I say?
- It only examines conversations that look book-related, filtered before any model sees them, and it writes nothing unless you have a membership. Quote saving can be switched off separately in your privacy settings.
