Mirror your reading into Notion
Connect a Notion workspace and ReadingRate writes your books, journal entries, quotes and saved AI insights into your own Notion databases as you create them. It finds the right databases in your workspace by name, and it writes only the properties your databases actually have — a field you never made is skipped rather than forced in. Nothing in Notion is deleted, and a nightly pass picks up anything that failed to send.

A book entry carries title, author, status, page and word count, publication year, language, country, your rating, start and end dates and your reflection, with the cover set as the Notion page image. A journal entry carries the date, the pages you covered, the passage, your reflection, your question and any connections you drew. A quote carries the text, the page, the speaker, your notes and its themes.
Saved AI insights go across as full pages: the summary and topics as properties, and the conversation itself written into the page body as headings and bullets rather than dumped in as one block of text.
There is a free Notion template to duplicate if you have no databases yet, and a detect step that matches what you already have.
What it can't do
- It writes one way. Editing a page in Notion changes nothing in ReadingRate.
- Anything you save on the web reaches Notion as you save it. Anything you write in the iOS app waits for the nightly pass, so it can be up to a day behind.
- Databases are matched by name — books, journal, quotes. A workspace organised differently may not be detected, and there is no manual picker.
- Properties missing from your databases are dropped, not created.
- Authors are text on the entry rather than separate linked pages, so Notion's relations and rollups won't group by author on their own.
