Run your reading log from Siri
Ten Siri phrases control ReadingRate: start and stop the reading timer, log the page you reached, save a quote or a journal note by dictating it, ask what you're reading and how far in you are, hear your reading stats, have a saved quote read back to you, and mark a book finished. Most of them complete inside Siri without opening the app. It's an iOS feature and part of membership.

The case for voice here is physical. Your hands are holding a book, and the gap between finishing a chapter and picking up a phone is exactly where a logging habit dies.
Commands run against your own library, so stopping the timer knows which book you had open and finishing knows which one you meant. Stopping asks for your page and files the session in the same breath.
The app stores its own credential for this on the device, so the phrases keep working from the lock screen without a sign-in prompt each time.
What it can't do
- iOS only, and the ReadingRate app has to be installed — the phrases are registered by the app itself.
- Membership only, checked in the app and again on the server.
- Every phrase has to end with “in ReadingRate”. That is how Siri routes a command to an app, not a stylistic choice.
- Twenty voice commands a minute. Beyond that it asks you to wait a moment.
- Quick log opens the app rather than finishing inside Siri.
- If a command is too garbled to classify, it asks you to start with quote, page or journal rather than guessing and filing something wrong.
