Aamer Hussein is a Pakistani-British fiction writer and critic who teaches at the University of Southampton. His short fiction — collected in volumes including Insomnia (2007) and The Leaning Tower (2012) — explores diaspora, memory, and South Asian identity. As a critic he has written extensively on Pakistani and South Asian fiction in English.
