Abby Jimenez

American

Abby Jimenez is an American romance novelist and former bakery owner. Before writing, she founded Nadia Cakes from her home kitchen after losing a managerial job in 2007, growing it into a multi-location bakery and winning Food Network's Cupcake Wars in 2013. She began writing while running the business and became a New York Times bestseller with her debut, The Friend Zone, the first in a loosely connected series of contemporary romances that also includes Part of Your World and Say You'll Remember Me. Her novels pair comic, banter-heavy voice with unusually direct treatment of anxiety, grief, chronic illness, and fertility struggles, drawn partly from her own experience. Her books have sold more than 1.5 million copies and been translated into 28 languages. She lives in the Minneapolis area with her husband and three daughters.
