Alberto Manguel is an Argentine-Canadian writer, translator, and editor. As a teenager in Buenos Aires, he read aloud to the blind Jorge Luis Borges. His anthologies of fantastic literature and his nonfiction works including A History of Reading have established him as one of the world's foremost literary curators and bibliophiles.
