Angela Lambert explored British society with a journalist's eye and a novelist's ear. Her work "Kiss and Kin" received a 1996 Booker Prize longlisting, continuing her examination of class, family, and English manners. Lambert worked as a television presenter and newspaper columnist before and during her fiction career, bringing the same probing intelligence to both forms. She died in 2007.
