Anna Triss is a French author of romance and dark fantasy, born in Annecy in 1985. She holds a degree in art history and archaeology and now lives in La Rochelle with her husband and son. She discovered fantasy fiction as a teenager and began writing seriously after university, moving between romance and fantasy rather than settling into one genre. Her debut novel, "Le prince charmant existe ! (Il est italien et tueur à gages)" — a comic romantic-suspense about a single mother and the hitman who falls for her — won the romance prize at the 2019 Salon du Livre de Niort and became her first bestseller, launching the Robyn & Valentin duology. She followed it with "La Reine Courtisane," winner of the 2020 Prix Livraddict for fantasy, and the dark fantasy saga "La Guilde des Ombres," about a brotherhood of assassins. She publishes across imprints including Hugo Roman, Black Ink, Plume Blanche, Pocket, and BMR, writing romance and fantasy series in parallel.
