Anthony Trollope was an English novelist who wrote forty-seven novels, along with short stories, travel books, and nonfiction. He is best known for the six Barsetshire novels and the six Palliser novels. His work is celebrated for its psychological realism, gentle satire, and encyclopedic portrayal of Victorian institutional life.
