Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote "The Little Prince" in New York exile during World War Two. The French aviator and author created the twentieth century's most beloved fable: a pilot stranded in the Sahara meets a small prince from asteroid B-612 who teaches him about love, loss, and what matters. Saint-Exupéry disappeared over the Mediterranean in 1944 on a reconnaissance mission. His book has never gone out of print, translated into more than three hundred languages.
