Art Spiegelman is an American cartoonist and editor who helped bring comic art into the literary mainstream. He co-edited the influential avant-garde comics anthology RAW with his wife Francoise Mouly. Maus, his masterwork, was the first graphic novel to win a Pulitzer Prize.
