Arthur Miller was one of the most important American dramatists of the twentieth century. His plays — including Death of a Salesman, The Crucible, and All My Sons — address the moral dilemmas of ordinary Americans caught between personal desire and social responsibility. He received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and numerous other honors.
