Ato Quayson is Professor of English at Stanford University and one of the leading scholars of African and postcolonial literatures. He is the author of Strategic Transformations in Nigerian Writing (1997), Postcolonialism (2000), Calibrations (2003), and Tragedy and Postcolonial Literature (2021). His work is notable for its integration of cultural theory with sustained attention to African literary texts.
