Caleb Azumah Nelson is a British-Ghanaian writer and photographer. His debut novel Open Water won the Costa First Novel Award in 2021. His second novel, Small Mercies, was published in 2022. Before becoming a novelist, he worked as a portrait and fashion photographer.
