Callie Hart is an author of romance and romantic fantasy. She began by publishing contemporary romance novels, often with dark and suspenseful elements, and built a large readership through self-publishing and online communities. She is best known for the Fae & Alchemy series, which opens with Quicksilver. The book follows Saeris, a young woman from a poor and dangerous part of the fae realm, and the powerful fae Kingfisher. Quicksilver became a bestseller and drew a large following on social media, especially on BookTok. Hart has also published bonus scenes from other characters' viewpoints, including Kingfisher's, which are available as audiobooks. Her books mix love stories with magic, political conflict and slow-revealed secrets. She is part of the wave of romantasy authors whose work has made the genre one of the most commercially successful areas of recent publishing.
