Christine Anne Foley is an Irish writer born in 1990 in Graiguenamanagh, County Kilkenny. She studied English literature at Trinity College Dublin before completing a Master's in Creative Writing at the University of Oxford, where she began the novel that became her debut. She lives in Dublin and has worked part-time in the fashion industry alongside her writing. Her first novel, Bodies (John Murray Press, 2024), follows a woman named Charlotte through a series of relationships with men from her teenage years into her thirties, examining gaslighting, love bombing, sex, and the lasting toll such relationships take on a woman's body and sense of self. Widely covered in the Irish press as one of the standout debuts of its year and dubbed an "It Girl" book of the summer, Bodies was shortlisted for the Kate O'Brien Award, given annually to a first novel by an Irish writer. Foley continues to write and publish short fiction alongside her novel work.
