C.S. Lewis created Narnia and defended Christianity with equal imaginative force. "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" launched a series that has never gone out of print. Lewis wrote fantasy, science fiction, literary criticism, and apologetics, finding in each form new ways to explore faith and imagination. His friendship with Tolkien shaped both their legacies.
