Diana Brydon is a distinguished Canadian scholar of postcolonial and world literatures, based at the University of Manitoba and later the University of Waterloo. She has written widely on Canadian literature in postcolonial contexts, on questions of globalization and cultural citizenship, and on the ethics of reading across cultural difference. Her work has been central to the development of postcolonial approaches to Canadian literary studies.
