Eka Kurniawan

Eka Kurniawan is an Indonesian novelist widely regarded as the most important Indonesian writer since Pramoedya Ananta Toer. His novels Beauty Is a Wound and Man Tiger have been translated into more than thirty languages. His work combines magical realism with Indonesian history and folklore, and he has been compared to Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Salman Rushdie.
