She is best known for the Chestnut Springs series, which is set in small-town ranch country in Alberta and follows a different couple in each book. Reckless is the fourth title in that series. She also wrote the Rose Hill series and the Gold Rush Ranch series. Her books are mostly small-town and Western romances with banter, strong heat and a focus on characters learning to trust again. Her novels have reached the New York Times bestseller list, and several have reached number one. Much of her readership came through BookTok, where the Chestnut Springs books drew large audiences and hundreds of thousands of ratings on Goodreads. Before writing full time, she worked outside publishing. She lives in British Columbia with her family.
