Emil Ferris is an American cartoonist and illustrator. My Favorite Thing Is Monsters, her debut graphic novel, won three Eisner Awards and the Fauve d'Or at Angouleme. She created the book after contracting West Nile virus and losing the use of her drawing hand, retraining herself over years.
