Gay Talese is an American journalist and author who helped pioneer the New Journalism in the 1960s. His works include The Kingdom and the Power, Honor Thy Father, and Thy Neighbor's Wife. Known for his meticulous reporting and literary prose, he is the author of the landmark Esquire profile 'Frank Sinatra Has a Cold,' widely considered the greatest magazine profile ever written.
