Gilles Deleuze

French · 1925–1995

Gilles Deleuze was a French philosopher whose solo works (Difference and Repetition, The Logic of Sense, the Cinema books) and collaborations with Félix Guattari (Anti-Oedipus, A Thousand Plateaus) constitute one of the most original and influential bodies of philosophical work in the twentieth century. His concepts — deterritorialization, the rhizome, the body without organs, becoming — have reshaped fields from philosophy through cultural theory to architecture and digital media.
