Gillian Flynn worked as a television critic at Entertainment Weekly before her debut novel Sharp Objects. Gone Girl made her one of the most influential thriller writers of the century and spawned a subgenre of domestic noir. She adapted the novel for David Fincher's film and has continued writing for screen and print.
