Hermione Lee is a biographer and critic whose subjects include Virginia Woolf, Edith Wharton, Penelope Fitzgerald, and Tom Stoppard. She is a former President of Wolfson College, Oxford, and is widely regarded as the leading practitioner and theorist of literary biography in Britain.
