Isaac Goldberg was an American literary journalist and translator who wrote extensively on Spanish and Portuguese-language literatures for an anglophone audience. He produced surveys of Brazilian, Spanish, and Mexican literatures and translated several Brazilian and Spanish novels. He was one of the first American critics to insist on the seriousness of Luso-Brazilian literary culture.
