James Gleick is an American author, journalist, and biographer whose books on science and technology have been translated into 30 languages. Chaos was a National Book Award finalist and introduced chaos theory to the general public. His subsequent books include biographies of Isaac Newton and Richard Feynman, and The Information, a history of information theory.
