Jim Crace won the 2015 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award for "Harvest" and was shortlisted for the Booker Prize three times. The British author writes novels set in imaginary landscapes—England but not quite—that examine community, labor, and change. "Quarantine" reimagined Jesus's forty days in the wilderness. Crace's fiction creates worlds both familiar and estranged.
