Julia Kristeva

Julia Kristeva is a Bulgarian-French literary theorist, philosopher, and psychoanalyst who moved to Paris in 1966 and became associated with the Tel Quel group. Her work develops concepts of intertextuality, the semiotic, and abjection, drawing on Lacan and Bakhtin. She is professor emerita at the University of Paris VII.
