Ling Ma is a Chinese-American novelist born in Sanming, China, and raised in the United States. Severance, her debut novel, won the Kirkus Prize for Fiction and was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award. Her second novel, Bliss Montage, is a story collection.
