Natalia Theodoridou is a Greek writer and scholar born in Thessaloniki. Known first for short and interactive fiction — work that has been a finalist for the Nebula Award for Best Game Writing multiple times — Theodoridou served as fiction editor of the interactive fiction magazine sub-Q. His debut novel, Sour Cherry (2025), is a fairy-tale-inflected reimagining of the Bluebeard myth narrated by an unnamed man across successive doomed marriages, confronting inherited patterns of male violence and the stories used to excuse them. The novel was named a best book of the year by the Chicago Review of Books, Ms. Magazine, and Barnes & Noble, won the 2026 Locus Award for Best First Novel, and was a finalist for the 2026 Nebula Award for Best Novel. Theodoridou, who is transmasculine, often writes about gender and embodiment.
