R.K. Narayan

R.K. Narayan was an Indian novelist who set virtually all of his fiction in the fictional town of Malgudi, creating one of the great imaginary places in world literature. Writing in English with the rhythms of South Indian speech, he was championed by Graham Greene and is considered one of the three founders of Indian English fiction alongside Mulk Raj Anand and Raja Rao.
