Roddy Doyle

Roddy Doyle won the Booker Prize in 1993 for "Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha," a novel about a ten-year-old boy in 1968 Dublin whose parents' marriage is falling apart. Doyle's Barrytown trilogy brought working-class Dublin to international attention. His dialogue is pitch-perfect.
