Suzanne Woods Fisher is an American author of Christian fiction and nonfiction, best known for novels about the Amish. She has written dozens of books, including the Stoney Ridge Seasons, Lancaster County Secrets, The Bishop's Family, Nantucket and Doctor to the Amish series. Her nonfiction includes Amish Peace and Amish Proverbs, which draw on her research into Amish life and sayings. She is a Christy Award winner and her books have appeared on bestseller lists in the Christian market. Fisher's family has Amish roots through her grandfather, and she has spent time in Amish communities in Pennsylvania. She lives in California.
