Her breakthrough came with The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (2017), a story about a fictional Old Hollywood star that became a BookTok phenomenon years after publication. Daisy Jones & The Six (2019) was adapted as an Amazon Prime series; Malibu Rising (2021) became an instant bestseller. Reid's signature is her ability to make invented celebrities feel real—readers finish her books convinced that Evelyn Hugo existed, that Daisy Jones was a rock star they should have known. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, the film and TV producer Alex Jenkins Reid, and their daughter.
