Wallace Stevens was an American modernist poet who spent his career as an insurance executive at the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company. His major works include Harmonium, The Man with the Blue Guitar, and The Auroras of Autumn. He received the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1955 for his Collected Poems.
