Zoë Heller was shortlisted for the Booker Prize for "Notes on a Scandal" (2003), a novel about an obsessive friendship between two teachers. Heller writes about female relationships with sharp observation. "Everything You Know" (2000) established her voice; "The Believers" (2008) continued her investigation of difficult women.
